Painted Satellite Dishes

This piece was commissioned by a client as a gift for a woman. The desire was to create "recycled yard art". The client was intrigued by pictures of satellite dishes in urban areas -- especially apartment complexes. Satellite dishes may be painted either to conceal or to express. I like pinks and greens and wanted to convey a more rural theme ... so I incorporated frogs, lady bugs, flowers, and butterflies. |
| I was asked to design something with "bugs and flowers". My favorite projects often start with a broad request, where I'm given carte blanche to design. This piece was commissioned as a Christmas gift, so the cold gray winter weather inspired a warm Spring theme with a colorful sun, bees, and sunflowers |  view larger image |
