Otis Redding

A client commissioned me to paint a portrait of Otis Redding in "your illustrative hyper-realistic style" as a gift for her husband's 65 birthday.
He had worked in the music industry managing both Lynrd Skynyrd and Al Green, but Otis Redding was one of his favorite artists. I grew up as the youngest of 4 children, and my older siblings shaped my love for music. Along with Otis Redding, I have done a painting of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan is underway, and Janis Joplin, Elton John and others are planned in the near future. |
